Prepping For A Boudoir Photo Shoot

Go furless.

boudoir photographyBody hair can really be quite annoying especially given the fact that you will have to pose in front of a camera and a boudoir photographer. You need to make sure that you figure out a way to schedule sessions to the waxing salon so that you will be able to keep unsightly hair at bay once and for all. You have to understand the fact that it would turn out to be potentially embarrassing for you to raise your arm up when you’ve got a full bush of axillary hair showing right through your own. You will be self conscious and anxious all throughout the time that you are posing in your boudoir photography shoot. This is not the type of thing that you would have to go through with when it all comes down to it.

Schedule your sessions with the waxing salon around a few weeks before the day of the shoot and make sure that you follow through and maintain that as well. You have to understand that booking your sessions at the waxing salon within just a few days before your boudoir photography shoot could leave you looking all red and sore and this is not the type of thing that you would want to go through with at the end of the day. Give yourself and your skin enough time to breathe and to recover from the redness and the swelling so that you are in your top condition during the day of the boudoir photography shoot.

Groom yourself.

Take a bath at the day of the shoot and make sure that you get to swipe on some deodorant too. Show up with a clean face and with clean hair as well. You will want to be at your best every step of the way. The boudoir photography shoot is challenging and scary enough to have to go through with but if you show up with unappealing body odors, this can make your photographer feel queasy of being in front of you all the time and this will embarrass you, at best. You don’t have to go through something like this at all. The more you start paying attention to hygiene, the better things will turn out for you and you will soon see that your boudoir photography shoot will turn out to be far more comfortable than you would ever imagine. Plus, it would be a bit tough to channel your sexy side when you haven’t taken a shower so think about that as well.

Know your angles.

Make a habit out of practicing your poses in front of a mirror. It will better acquaint you with your strongest angles and it will make you more knowledgeable about what your best features are while you are at it.

Stand your ground.

If there are any poses that you are particularly uncomfortable with, then speak up and let your boudoir photographer know about it. You don’t have to be pressured into doing anything that you aren’t comfortable doing. You are the client after all, and you still get to call the shots one way or the other.
